How to Soundproof with Direct to Wall Method

Learn this Vital Soundproofing Technique

One of the most common problems people encounter with Victorian terrace or semi-detached houses is that whilst the thick chimney breast provides good insulation, the alcoves on either side leak noise from your neighbours. Usually, these alcoves are the natural place to put a television, so you can end up with a constant stream of noise coming through. This time he uses our "Direct to Wall Method".

With a small amount of help from Soundstop.co.uk, our friends at the Gosforth Handyman Youtube channel recently tackled this problem on a Victorian semi he is renovating. The video is above, and is an excellent guide to the process - Andy is incredible at explaining the steps, and techniques.
