Plan the Layout: Arrange the panels in a broken bond pattern, avoiding small cuts (less than 150mm). Leave a 10-15mm gap around walls and fixed objects for perimeter isolation.
Install Perimeter Strips: Use Hush Seal 20 or Hush RD Flanking Strips to create an airtight seal along the room's perimeter.
Position the Panels: Lay the panels with the Hushfelt layer facing down, ensuring a snug fit.
Glue Joints: Apply Hush Bond Panel Adhesive generously to all tongue-and-groove joints for a secure bond.
Skirting Boards: Use spacers to maintain a 2-3mm gap between the skirting board and panels. Seal the gap with Hush Acoustic Sealant for optimal results.
Direct Joist Installation: When laying directly on joists, ensure the centres do not exceed 450mm. Use Hush 10 Joist Strips for additional lateral stiffness.

Lay the Hush-Panel 28 Floating Flooring in a conventional broken bond pattern. When laying directly over joists, Hush-10 Joist Strips are simply stapled onto the joist tops prior to application.
Glue all teegee joints using Hush-Bond Panel Adhesive.
Leave a 10-15mm expansion gap around all perimeters and press in Hush-Seal 20 Perimeter Seal ensuring that the floor floats freely of the walls maintaining acoustic isolation or perimeter detail as per Robust Detail instructions using Hush-RD Flanking Strip.

It is important that all Hush Acoustics Floating Floors are installed using the Hush Bond Panel Adhesive as we have done extensive testing and research to develop the best adhesive for the panels and one we know will do the job.
