Where customers want to install the high performance GenieClip system but they simply cannot afford the head height loss, then the LB3 system is ideal.
The solution which runs parallel to existing joists sets the GenieClip "furring bar" at virtually the same level as the existing joist line. This means no head height loss with this variation of the GenieClip system.

The GenieClip superior performance stems from the generous moulded rubber body that sits within a galvanized steel frame work offering exceptional isolation. The GenieClip can be successfully used as part of a regulation E system.

How it works
The GenieClip is a very high performance solution that provides the best single component we know of when soundproofing a ceiling. The clip itself outperforms a resilient bar by around 7 db, an impressive amount.
The GenieClip is a moulded rubber and steel isolation clip used to to control the passage of noise. The integral springing mechanism providing much more dampening than the corrugations of a resilient bar system. In fact performance figures are superior even with a single layer of plasterboard, potentially saving on materials cost and labour.
If you wish to buy just the GenieClip alone please be aware that you will need to buy the bespoke furring strip as well. Other metal sections do not fit this product.
The GenieClip system is a superior alternative to the conventional resilient bar system producing better performance and is far less prone to fitting error. In fact its virtually impossible to fit incorrectly.

GenieClip LB2 - Create a drop or void for services to run like HVAC, ducting, etc. Or with older properties where the ceilings need "levelling".
Type C Bracket - For projects where timber has been specified for counter battens and preventing sound transfer between surfaces is required.
Isosonic 45mm Bracket - Where metal (MF) sections are specified and a low cost/easy installation is needed.
Resilient Bars - For a reliable system that the delivers basic soundproofing performance levels.
With the LB3 type fixing you can fit the GenieClip system while suffering virtually no ceiling height loss whatsoever. This bracket fastens to the inside of the joist such that the furring channel can sit just below the run of the joists.
The LB3 GenieClip is screwed direct to joist working in the same manner that a resilient bar ceiling would, and it houses the "furring strips". To these furring strips plasterboard is attached using screws.
We recommend that you fasten to the side of each joist with a centre of 1.2m apart per clip.

These furring strips are specially designed for use with the GenieClip system, including the LB2 and LB3 systems. As the same GenieClip is used across the three systems the same furring strip can be used, keeping things nice and simple.
Please Note: Other furring strips will not fit the GenieClip system.
